Catfish Capers This year we have caught just under 2000 cats with a total weight of 126984lbs. With just under 500 of them being ton ups that’s a 1 in 4 chance of a ton up cat. Catfish Capers‎ 14th-19th Nov. With Andy staying on for another weeks fishing on his own the river started to fine down and with another swim move the fish started to come in numbers. 8cats in a day, then 9 in a day and even 10 in a day.We were back on the fish. Ending the good week with 39 cats,12 over the ton for a total weight of 3189lbs. Andys best fish went 140lb,152lb,159lb,162lb and the best was 172lbs. Great week Andy see you next time your out.

Catfish Capers‎ 6th-12th Nov. Out catfishing this week was 4 guys and seeing the river as it was things did not look good. Ken, Ron, Tony and Andy all moved swims a few times till we found a few fish and started catching. Ending the week with 15 cats,6 over the ton and 9 carp up to 48lb the week ended ok.Rons best 117lb and the 48lb carp, Kens best 120lb and a 43lb 4oz carp, Tonys best 142lb and Andy with the best of the week at 155lb. Hard week guys but great fishing. See you next year

Catfish Capers‎ 6th-12th Nov. Out for a bit of carping this week was Martins son Jonny and his mate John. With the river going into flood with lots of weed fishing was very difficult but they managed to catch a few nice carp over the week. Between them they landed 17 carp consisting of 6x20lbs, 8x30lbs, 1x40lbs and 1x50lbs. Jonnys best was the 50 at 50lbs 8oz and Johns best was 44lbs, Great fishing guys on a out of conditioned river.

Catfish Capers‎ 6th-9th Oct. Out for half a weeks fishing was Barry, Ron, Paul and Lee. They managed to put 11 cats on the bank with 4 over the ton.3 of the tons went to Lee at 138lbs, 152lbs and 156lbs and Pauls had the 4th ton at 127lbs. They landed some big carp also, 4x30lbs, 4x40lbs and 2x50lbs.Ron took a mirror at 50lb exactly and Lee had the biggest at 56lbs. What a week for Lee.see you again guys

Catfish Capers‎ 3rd-8th Oct. Out this week was 2 regulars Alan and Bob and 4 newcomers, Chris, Paul, Lee and Matt. With Lee catching the biggest of the week at 180lbs and Chris not far behind with one at 170lbs they all broke the ton barrier landing a grand total of 30 cats, 12 over the 100lbs for a weight of 2667lbs. They also landed 17 carp, 4x20lbs, 9x30lbs, 3x40lbs and one at dead on 50lbs to Alan. great week guys see you all next year.

Catfish Capers‎ 26th-1st Oct. Second group out this week was Paul and Marco and 2 Dutch guys Franz and William. Landing 13 cats with 5 over the ton the biggest of the week went to Franz at 158lbs with Williams best at 156lbs and Pauls best at 140lbs. Some great carp action also for them landing 14 altogether, 1x20lb, 5x30lb, 7x40lb and the biggest of the year so far at 62lbs to Franz. well done guys hope to see you all again

Catfish Capers‎ 26th-1st Oct. Fishing with Alan this week was 4 welsh lads.A great week was had by all with 24 cats landed, 10 over the ton for a total weight of 2200lbs. The biggest of the week went to Steve at 178lbs with Colin at 154lbs,Alan at 155lbs and Seb at 157lbs. They also landed 17 carp which included 8x20lbs, 6x30lbs and 3x40lbs with the best going 41lbs 8oz. See you next year guys all the best

Catfish Capers‎ 19th-24th Sept. Out also this week was newcomers Bob and Dale. Enjoying some great fishing they managed to land 15 cats, 4 over the 100lb with Bobs best at 169lb and Dales best at 143lbs. Between them they also had a fantastic week for big carp landing 11 carp including 5x30lb+, 4x40lb+ and 2 50s at 52lb and 55lb. What a week guys hope to see you both back

Catfish Capers‎ 19th-24th Sept. The loud Leeds lads out this week, Gary, Robin,Steve and newcomer Trevor. On the first day and 1st cat ever Trevor landed a 182lb er and Steve went 1lb bigger at 183lb. With not to many cats gracing the banks Robin pb at 183lb also and Gary pb with a slighty smaller one at 159lb.Ending the week with 28 cats, 12x100lb+ for 2551lbs. Gary also pb on the carp front with a 52lb 4oz beauty. see you next year guys

Catfish Capers‎ 12th-14th. Fishing with Alan for these 3 days was newcomers Garry and Roger. Having never fished for cats before they where surprised with the 1st days fishing landing 19 cats with 8 over the ton, best going 174lb to Garry and 168lb to Roger. With a grand total for the 3days of 50cats and 18 over the ton and a total weight of 4238lbs the fishing couldn't have been better. Hope to see you again soon

Catfish Capers‎ 5th-10th Sept. The bait bitch(Jackie Hoyes) strikes back. Out with Jackie was husband steve and new guy Tony. With conditions very hard a good week was, had by all 3, landing 62 cats, 29 over the ton, total weight 5621lbs. Steves best going 149lbs, Tonys best going 163lbs with Jackie beating them both with cats of 170lbs and 193lbs. Well done Jackie, See you all next year

Catfish Capers‎ 22nd-27th Aug. One guy out this week on his own, John Atkins, fishing 2 cat rods only he landed 10 cats, 5 over the 100lb for a total weight of 1052lbs. Also landing 13 carp including 4x20s and 5x30s. His best cats went 157lb, 161lbs, 163lbs and his new pb at 197lbs. Great fishing john and see you next year.

Catfish Capers‎ 12th August. With the guys at the la barca struggling for fish,4 of them decided to have a single day guided. With the water levels low they landed a carp of 30lbs 8oz and 3 cats, Gareth landing the smallest at 56lbs,Kevin landing a new pb at 142lbs and John also landing a new pb at 175lbs.Great fish guys see you all next year

Catfish Capers 9th August and 11th August. Out fishing with his son Dutchman Henk Been decided to have 2 days guided and what a 2 days it was.With his son (11 year old) taking the 1st cat at 158lbs Henk ended the day with the 2nd biggest of the year for us at 192lbs. They ended the 2 days of fishing with 10 cats and 3 ton ups. Enjoying their fishing they cant wait to come back,Great fish Henk all the best see you next time Alan and Martin

Catfish Capers‎ 1st-6th Aug. Arriving for this week was 3 new Dutch anglers,never fishing the Ebro before they couldn't believe their luck. Landing 32 cats,10 over the ton, total weight 2552lbs, pb's where had all round. Denny with the smallest at 158lbs, Gerardus with 173lbs and 179lbs and Ramon with 185lbs. They also had 17 carp inc 6x20lbs, 7x30lbs and 4x40lbs with the biggest going to Denny with 2 at 44lbs. Gerardus also landed a 29lb fully scaled mirror. See you next year guys

Catfish Capers‎ 25th-30thJuly. Out again this week was Shadrack and Kane Dingle, aka John and Andy. With fishing a little slower a total of 50 cats were landed, inc 12 over the ton for a total weight of 3567lbs. Both landing new pb's at 158lbs each a good week was had by both,they also took some nice carp each with Andy having 2 40's at 40lb 14oz, 42lb 4oz and 44lb 14oz all being new pb's. Catfish Capers‎ 11th-16th July. Out for the first time we had Luke, Danny and Andy. Managing to put 62 cats on the bank for a total weight of 4838lbs with 19 going over 100lbs. Lukes best was 152lbs, Andys best was 171lbs and Danny with the best for the week at 178lbs, they also landed some nice carp with the best 2 going 46lb 8oz and 47lbs. Great week guys.

Catfish Capers‎ 11th-16th July. Regular Andy and 3 new lads this week. Danny,Luke and Mike. With big cats coming every day we ended the week with a total of 62 cats, including 19 over 100lbs, totaling 4838lbs. With Andy and Danny taking cats of 171lbs and 178lbs, Lukes best was 152 and Mikes was 144lbs.Andy also took carp up to 46 1/2 lbs and Mike upto 47 lbs. great fishing guys see you all again soon

Catfish Capers 4th-9th July. Out for the week was Mark, Rob and Adam. With cats right from the off and Adam landing a 156lb on the first day they ended up putting 73 cats on the bank, 21 over the 100lb mark for a total weight of 4848lbs.Mark took the biggest at 166lbs with another at 164lbs, Adam took a 163lb and Robs best was 138lbs. Catfish Capers‎ 6th-11th June. Had 6 guys out this week, 5 newcomers and 1 regular. With the 1st cat to grace the bank at 148lbs to newcomer James, it was regular Wayne that took the biggest of the week at 184lbs. A great week was had by all landing 151 cats, 25 of them ton ups for a total weight of 9654lbs.What a week, see you all again soon

Catfish Capers 14th march-19th march. Great week for the 2 regulars and newcomer Pete this week. With a total catch of 53 cats, 18 over the ton for a total weight of 4776lbs Laurence pb with a 178lb, steves best was 142lb and as you all know golden balls topped the lot at 209lbs also landing a 174lb and 164lb. great week had by all hope to see you all again soon.

Catfish Capers‎ 14th march. first day on the bank for Steve, Laurance and Pete. First fish of the day went to Laurance landing a new pb also for himself at 178lbs. ending the day with 12 cats and 3 ton ups for just over 1000lbs in total weight a great first day was had by all 3 of them. catch up at the end of the week to see there grand total.

Catfish Capers‎ 7th-12th Feb. First week back on the bank we had first time cat anglers Paul, Terry and Matt. With Terry landing the first ton up of the year at 122lbs we got of to a flying start and ended the week with 23cats, 14 over 100lbs for a total weight of 2583lbs. Terry took the biggest at 171lbs with Paul close by with cats of 163lbs and 165lbs. Matt also land a few carp up to 31lbs.great fishing guys see you again soon

Catfish Capers 20th Jan out fishing for a few hours carping for myself. Nice bit of sun and 4 carp to go with it. 19lb 8oz, 27lb 12oz, 34lb 4oz and one at 40lb 3oz. What a day.
