La Barca

La Barca is situated by the ramp (where we launched our boats before the ramp was closed) on a large peninsula just below Chiprana, right on the bank of the river Ebro. It is perfectly placed in the middle of the 25 mile stretch of river between Caspe and Escatron on which we have based all our guided fishing trips. La Barca is a three bedroom villa. The accommodation is set within a secure, well lit fenced area with ample parking space for cars and trailers. As you can see the site is less than a stones throw from the river, you can start fishing at 6 in the morning up to 12 mid night. The Villa is ideal for parties of six but can do eight at a push having two twin bedrooms and one with a double and single bed. It has a bathroom, toilet, fully equipped kitchen and large lounge with satellite free view television, air conditioner, and a door to a shared patio area which has an open view of the river. There is a mobile Barbecue for use on site, great for a get together on a warm evening. I have a mobile beer unit and can supply barrels of beer from my bar “The Jolly Fisherman”.

Booking form To book the villa or mobile a deposit of £300 is required to book your trip, the balance is due two months before. Please send your cheque payable to “Martin Walker” to The Meadows, Bryants Bottom, Great Missenden, Bucks, HP16 9RN. Please note we require a copy of your passports with your booking form or scanned and E-mailed to Catfishcapers@googlemail.com for us to obtain fishing licences Prices exclude petrol for outboard motors and terminal tackle (hooks, swivels, traces, leads and floats) . We have a limited supply of bits available for purchase should you run out. The security deposit is repayable on departure subject to all items being returned as supplied, should further cleaning of the accommodation be required then £50 will be deducted, £20 for the boat or £10 for the tackle. The accommodation should be available at 16.00, and would you please vacate the accommodation by 10.00 on your last morning. This then leaves us time to clean the accommodation and check the fishing tackle and boats

We are now able to take credit card payments, this is directly through the bar in Spain. Payment of deposits for the villa can be taken by card but it will be in euros exchanged at 1.10 euro to pound ie 330 euros plus a 5 euros transaction charge. The balance to be paid in Spain on arrival in pounds sterling (no Scottish notes), again if you want to pay balance by card you can but a 5% surcharge will be added.
