Ryanair have yet again cocked up our schedule putting back the Sunday flight to Zaragoza from 12.50 to 22.05, which means you wont get to Caspe till nearly midnight. It would also mean you could be sat around all day on Sunday, but I can offer those of you on this flight extra fishing till 16.00 on Sunday for £50.

Running down from left to right we have Donny Sheppard with our new record 183lb Gaz and his dad had to grab hold of him at one stage to stop him being pulled in. Next we have Ian Warner with another whacker 176lb. Going down a line it was Terry Paynes turn to out do his pal Don with a 172lb. Then we move onto carp with a very rare 41lb 8oz mirror for Joe Middleton he also had a 40lb common with loads for 30’s in a 60+ fish haul for him and his pal George Sparks. Barry Lane sits holding a 46lb common one of ten 40’s caught during the last week of February and the first week of March. The last week of March saw heavy rains and floods further up stream and guess what gravity works and we got wiped out for three days as waters came up 15-20ft. So we had a couple of days lure fishing some nice perch to 2lb 8oz, Zander also to 2lb 8oz, Pike to 4lb and Andy Hosegood latched onto a very nice 6lb 4oz Black Bass

Yet another good start to a year, first group two lads Chris Shepherd and Neil Needham from Devizes, fished for 4 days caught 70 catfish with 27 ton ups up to 136lb.

We had a film crew out to make a new fishing program it’s called “Celebrity fish off” In this episode are Dave Courtney (the Gangster) and Oliver Skeete (the Show jumper). They have a competition and the winner donates their prize money to the charity of choice. Dave gets up to some dodgy dealings but does he prosper? Who catches what? You will have to wait and see. I should check out who my guests are before I pretend to scuff up their nice shiny shoes, luckily Dave’s got a sense of humour and saw the funny side of it.

Peter Jackson broke away from his family skiing holiday in Andorra for a three day fishing trip. On Day one 18 cats 6 ton ups to 166lb total weight 1551lb, fishing couldn’t get better than this could it? Day two 21 cats 8 ton ups to 156lb total weight 1708lb. Day three, better still, 22 cats but I had one of these at 70lb (triple hook up) 11 ton ups up to 161lb total weight 1955lb.   Peters total 60 cats 25 ton ups total weight 5144lb averageing 85.73lb An excellent result at anytime of the year but this was the second week in February

Tony and I have just signed the papers for our bar, it will be called “The Jolly Fisherman”. It is situated in the square at the top of the same road as the Chinese, in fact its on the same side just 75 yards further up the hill. There is a lot of building work to get the place up to date as you can see from the pictures below but we are hoping to have it ready in March.

To back up our motto “come catching with the best” Anyone failing to catch a ton up catfish in a week on a fully guided trip will get a return trip free of charge

Don’t go fishing with the rest

Come catching with the best
