We recently had two non-guided clients drive into town to pick up more bait whilst leaving two of their mates looking after the gear. What they did not do was to reel in their rods and guess what the guardia civil turned up and confiscated the extra rods (you are allowed two each). Not what they normally do on the top lake, but not a problem usually you just go to police station they sort out a fine for you, then its off to bank to pay and back to police station to get your rods back. But no when I get to police station they tell me they will write to me stating the fine and where to pay, and how long will this take??? two-three months!!!. So any non-guided clients be warned if you have our tackle confiscated you will have to pay 300 euro to cover what is the usual fine and 40 euro a week rental whilst I am without my rods and reels
